Jake Sokolov-Gonzalez plays with free improvisation, jungle DnB, critical inquiry, and performance lecture. He has a degree in Composition from Bard College, where he studied with Marina Rosenfeld, Kyle Gann, and Joan Tower. He is currently a PhD Candidate in Music and Multimedia Composition at Brown University where he’s a presidential fellow and a recipient of the Cogut Certificate in Collaborative Humanities. He has performed at the Museum of Modern Art with Tania Bruguera, at Groundswell Olana with Pauline Oliveros, at the Vision Festival with William Parker, the Performa Biennial with Marina Rosenfeld, at Lincoln Center Out of Doors with Larry Harlow, and Bard Summer Stage with Bill T. Jones.
